Dynamic chair for the hyperactive

 

We all move while sitting down, but chairs limit our movement, making it even harder for children and hyperactive grownups, who need a ‘dynamic’ chair.

 

‘Hyper’ creates a new form of sitting down, enabling a fun and bouncy experience, allowing you to read, listen to music or just sketch, without feeling fixed.

It all started in a course I took, during my first year: ‘Creativity and Learning Disabilities’, where I had to design an object, which reflects my ADHD. I’ve decided to keep exploring this concept in my final project, and to create a chair that expresses the constant movement, hyperactive people experience, children and adults as one. I was inspired by the ‘Pilates ball’ and wanted to deliver its feeling and health benefits, while challenging the standard office chairs.
