StyleFit
A clothing rental platform
Collaboration with a start-up in the early stages of attracting investors to the venture

Summary
This is an app for renting and shipping clothes on a monthly payment subscribed service.
Style-fit allows users easy access to a wide range of outfits from the best fashion designers and boutiques at a fair price.
My role
STYLEFIT is a new start-up at the investor recruitment phase.
I joined them as an UX / UI designer and took part in Formulating the idea and building the first mockup of the product.

The problem
Wearing unique and variety of clothes, is very expensive, requires a large space in the wardrobe and is not nvironmentaly friendly.
The Motivation
The fashion industry: Responsible for 20% of all industrial water pollution worldwide.
Consumers: Use just 25% of their closet but spend 5% of their income on new clothes.
The audience
Fashion lovers and people who like to dress up-to-date, diverse groups of people, and those who care about the environment.
Research
Our team started with brainstorming, in order to focus on the necessity that the product is answering to, and chose our main usage scenario.
Next, I did some competitor research and user research and interviewed potential users.
Competitive research conclusions
There are lots of apps for buying clothes and even for short term rentals. But none of the apps connect a wide market of fashion designers or small boutiques to fashion lovers.
Another conclusion from my research is that one of the main challenges for these
apps is to give their users easy access to search and filter the item catalogs.
Another important flow is the end-of-purchase process (check out), it needs to be clear, simple and safe.

Nuuly
Advantages
-The app has an option to filter clothes by the mood of the users , for example clothes for a sad day or for a happy moment.
-The design is clean and minimalistic and yet comfortable and easy to use.
Disadvantages
-there are only 4 pictures of clothes in each page.

Rent the runway
Advantages
-At the first moment you enter the app, you get a popup message that asks you your zip code to ensure you will not start choosing clothes if you are out of the shipping area.
-The location of the CTA button of the discounts list is highlighted. even though it is located in the middle of the navigation bar it is not bothering the accessibility of the other button.
Disadvantages
-The hamburger menu opens from the bottom and not from the sides which is not intuitive for users.
-The profile entrance button is located in the navigation footer bar, and since its frequency usage is low, I think it should be in the hamburger menu.
User research
We conducted questionnaires and meetings with personal stylists and a wide range of potential users, including TV people / pregnant women/lecturers, and presenters, in order to understand the specific needs of our users and design the app according to them.

Hadas Flesh
"As a second pregnant mother I am excited to hear about such an idea, there are so many beautiful maternity clothes that I would be happy to rent at a fair price rather than buy. its a shame that maternity clothes are very expensive and I use them only during the pregnancy."

Storyboard
In my storyboard I tried to describe a day in the lives of the members of a young and successful family from Tel-Aviv, and to show need for this app and how it will help them.

UX Wireframe flow
The main focus was on illustrating the use scenario of choosing the garment>>adding it to my clothing list>>and final approval for the upcoming shipment.

UI Wireframe flow
In the design phase I tried to give as much space as possible to the pictures of the clothes, keep it simple and clean for easy usage.

UI KIT

Onboarding
I tried to sum up the experience and comfort of having a virtual closet and the excitement of receiving and returning clothes.
